In order to ensure optimal management of its financial resources, the Laboratory has a mutualized management of its resources. As a result, financial management is entirely centralized, which allows the financing of an annual equipment acquisition plan based on a scientific calendar (needs expressed by the researcher) and not on a budgetary calendar (opening of credits).
The “Administrative and Financial department” unit, headed by the Secretary General of LEMTA, is composed of 5 secretaries:
- A Financial Manager in charge of the budget follow-up and the regular production of management charts and financial statements.
- 6 managers who share their activity between traditional administrative functions (secretariat of scientific operations, telephone reception, participation in the material organization of symposia or congresses, …) and financial functions (commitment of orders, services, …), on all the laboratory’s credits, whether they are managed at the CNRS or at the University of Lorraine.
- One of the secretaries is specifically dedicated to the administrative follow-up of PhD students.
