International research partnership formalized with Thailand

Initiated nearly 20 years ago by GREEN(1) researchers, the scientific cooperation with the Thai University “King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok” involves LEMTA since 2018.

If the initial scientific theme is electrical energy in general, the cooperation particularly concerns power electronics, fuel cells, electrical machines and is currently turning to electric drives for electric mobility, hydrogen as an energy carrier as well as energy microgrids, a theme in which LEMTA is involved, as well as in power electronics applied to the management of electrical energy in electrochemical systems.

Several joint projects have been carried out over the years, including PHC (Partenariat Hubert Curien) projects and PhD theses for young Thai researchers.

This collaboration was formalized on Thursday, October 23, 2021 by the signing of an IRP (International Research Partnership) between the University of Lorraine and the Thai University KMUTNB.

The signing took place 100% online due to health conditions.
