LEMTA is renowned for its metrology and characterization methods in the fields of mechanics and energy. The research carried out at LEMTA combines commercial equipment with customized experimental benches set up with the know-how of the laboratory’s researchers and technical departments. These experimental facilities are spread across different technical platforms, corresponding to the laboratory’s areas of specialization.
Most of the equipment is grouped together in a single platform: the Métro’NRJ platform.
This metrology platform comprises 7 technical platforms associated with the laboratory’s research teams in the following fields :
- thermal and optical characterization of components and materials
- rheology of fluids and solids
- fire behavior of materials and structures
- multi-vector energy networks
- electrochemical systems
- hydrogen technology
- magnetic resonance spectroscopy & imaging
Research teams offer simple characterization services or research and development studies.
Services :
- Mechanical, thermal and optical characterization of materials and systems
- Development and testing of electrochemical systems
- Characterization of complex fluids (suspensions, granular media, sprays)
- Fire behavior studies of materials and structures
